LED

If you haven't transitioned to LEDs already, now is a great time to consider. LEDs are more durable and require no warmup as opposed to traditional bulbs. They are much more durable due to the fact they're made from plastic rather than glass and they work great in cold weather. LEDs provide great lighting and they last longer while using less energy.

Generators

A treefall, blown transformer, or an animal that has come in contact with a piece of electrical equipment can lead to an electrical outage for a couple of hours. This is an inconvience but during a catastrophic event, an electrical outage can last for days, weeks, or even longer. Catastrophic events like severe snowstorms, high winds, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, and flooding occur throughout the entire year. When a home loses power, many lose access to heat, air conditioning, refrigeration, the internet and some of us even lose access to running water. A backup generator sits outside your home, similar to a central air conditioning unit, and backs up your entire home or the most essential items. They automatically provide power directly to your home within a few seconds once a electrical outage is detected and automatically shuts off once power is restored by your utility company. The backup generators run on either natural gas or a fuel supply so there isn’t any need for constant refueling, it’s ready whenever it’s needed. A backup generator also doesn’t require the use of an extension cord because it delivers power directly to your home’s electrical panel. Some backup genereators even provide access to a remote monitoring system so you can check on the status of your generator when you’re away.

Pool Inspections

Grounding and bonding your pool’s electrical system prevents shock hazards and keeps pool visitors safe. If your pool or spa is improperly bonded and grounded—or if connections and wiring are deteriorating due to corrosion—you are putting your facility and pool patrons at risk. In 1999, the State of New Jersey passed a law requiring that pools, hot tubs or spas located on any property other than one to two-family residential properties must comply with electrical sub-codes, and must maintain a valid 5-year bonding and grounding certificate. At MPower Electrical, our certified and licensed electricians are committed to ensuring the safety and compliance of your commercial pool, hot tub or spa. In accordance with State of New Jersey law, MPower Electrical: (1) provides industry-leading NJ pool testing to verify the integrity of your facility’s electrical system, and (2) issues valid NJ pool bonding and grounding certificates. Our trained, experienced electrical team will inspect all pool pump and related electrical connections, ensuring that they are compliant with the NJ State Uniform Construction Code. If repairs are needed, electricians can normally provide same-day service—so your facility is properly certified and ready to open on time. To schedule your NJ commercial pool inspection, or to learn more about NJ’s bonding and grounding requirements as they pertain to your facility, call 908-868-9100 or email us today.

Electrical System Upgrade

With today’s technology-driven society, the demand we put on our electrical systems is rising and your property may not be equipped to handle the load. Specializing in services that improve performance and protect occupants, our technicians provide simple or complex upgrades for aging New Jersey properties, home renovations and more. Whether your home or business contains timeworn breaker panels, is wired improperly, or lacks enough power to keep up with today’s demanding electrical use, you could be putting yourself, your family and your property at risk. If your current service panel provides less than 200 amps of electricity, or you experience problems such as: dimming lights, tripped circuit breakers, inadequate number of outlets, or problems with multiple appliances, it would be best to schedule a service upgrade consultation with an electrical contractor as soon as possible.
